The exhibition investigates “Fracking,” a method of horizontal drilling into shale formations known as hydraulic fracturing across America. My participation involved research of fracking procedures and existing locations throughout the city of Los Angeles through a series of drawings and postcards. Production also included a series of objects that related the process back to synthesis of Domestic objects transformed through heat and iridescent paint.
